Jebin Shrestha started his coffee farm in 2003 in the village of Nirmal Pokhari in Pokhara, Nepal (approximately 200 kilometers west of the capital, Kathmandu) with the aim of producing the highest quality coffees from Nepal. Sprawling under the foothills of the Great Himalayas, Shrestha’s farm is approximately 1 hectare in area and lies at an altitude of 1200 m.a.s.l.
Coffee from Mystic Himalaya is available as single-origin microlot with the harvest season going from late-December through mid-March. All the coffee is shade-grown and 100% organic. Because Mystic Himalaya is also actively involved in promoting Nepalese women in coffee, all the coffee on the farm is hand-picked and sorted by women (as shown in the pictures).
